Finances
The Dolphin Society relies almost entirely on the President's annual appeal (link) to fund its work. The appeal is traditionally launched on 1st November and runs until Colston Day (normally 13th November), although donations and legacies are welcomed at any time of the year.
We work hard to keep our administration costs to a minimum: much of the work is done on a voluntary basis with one part-time paid administrator. Typically every £1 spent on the annual appeal raises £15 of donations.
Total collection figure 2011 was £82,884.47.
